Our Little Black Aari Dress is inspired by the Aari embroidery of Gujarat and Rajasthan, India.

Crafted in Suede Velvet, the dress has a relaxed fit and is secured with a zipper at the back. The design features an elegant mix of cutdana, beads and black crystals. The bottom of the skirt is cut in the shape of waves.

Inspiration Craft

AARI EMBROIDERY : This embroidery tells a story through threads and beads. It was the Mochi or cobbler community of the Kutch region that popularised this art and it got noticed by the royals of Gujarat.

Aari embroidery gets its name from the needle that is used to do the embroidery, called an Aar. The beauty of the embroidery is that it lets you explore and create. Anyone can use it to express their own individual taste and style. This versatile embroidery is known as Tambour in the west.Aari embroidery is colourful, vibrant and inspired by nature and wildlife. The ripple effects in the embroidery are believed to be inspired by the dunes of the Thar Desert.
