The Olive Green Phulkari Shirt is inspired by the Phulkari embroidery of Punjab, India.

Crafted in Khadi Cotton Slub, the shirt and the trouser have a comfort fit with Phulkari-inspired hand embroidery. The shirt has detailing of green crystal beads along the edges of the collar. The trouser has detailing of green crystal beads along the edges of the pockets. The trouser features a front opening with a half elasticated waistband and of course, deep pockets.

Inspiration Craft

PHULKARI EMBROIDERY : Phulkari embroidery traces its origin to the heart of Punjab. The brown and beige landscape of the area inspired the artisans to create bright and vibrant patterns on muted colours.

Phulkari's beauty lies in its simplicity. It is a counted-thread embroidery technique, where the stitches are counted rather than drawn. The patterns are typically floral, but can also depict animals, birds, or geometric shapes. The colours used are bold and vibrant, reflecting the sunny and energetic spirit of Punjab.

Phulkari was traditionally used to create bridal trousseaus and other ceremonial items. The bride's Phulkari dupatta was often a symbol of her status and beauty. Today, Phulkari remains a cherished tradition of Punjab. It is not just an art form but a reflection of the rich cultural heritage of the region.
