The Blue Chikankari Co-ord Set is inspired by the Chikankari embroidery of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Crafted in Corduroy, the jacket is available in cropped as well as full length. It features dropped shoulders. The skirt is crafted in Corduroy as well and has a slit at the back for comfort and ease. The set has hand-embroidered chikankari work with tiny bead detailing. Both the jacket and the skirt comes with pockets.

Full Length of the Jacket : 24"

Inspiration Craft

CHIKANKARI EMBROIDERY : The delicate art form of Chikankari was born in the heart of Uttar Pradesh.

Legend has it that a Mughal princess, mesmerised by the delicate floral patterns on Persian carpets, yearned to create something similar. A skilled artisan, hearing her wish, set about to weave a fabric as exquisite as the princess' imagination. Thus, Chikankari was born.

The art form flourished under the patronage of the Mughals, who adorned their royal garments with Chikankari's intricate designs. Chikankari's allure lies in its simplicity. White cotton thread is used to create patterns on sheer fabrics like muslin. The stitches, though tiny, are meticulously crafted, forming a delicate lace-like effect.

Hand-dyed in New Delhi.

Jacket is fully lined with satin. Skirt is not lined.
